A composition about a sunset cloud. The field is gathered into a relief: large veils at the centre, small ones at the edges — the way a real cloud is built, with the mass growing toward the middle.
Corrugated disc-flowers in an amber-gold tone read as mushroom caps or as opened silk parasols — a soft form despite the density.
By day it is a warm field overhead: the corrugation reads through folds and soft chiaroscuro, the composition calm and uniform. In the evening light comes on at the centre of every disc and the corrugation drives it out along the folds in warm rays: the cloud fills with a sunset tone from within.
Where it works
Living rooms, lobbies, restaurants, spa areas, banqueting halls. The field is built wide: the composition covers the ceiling of a zone.
Style
Art Deco and natural Art Nouveau: the parasol and the cloud as motifs. The message is warm — a piece for an interior in a gold register.
The number of veils, their calibres and the area of the field are all made to order.
