Lighting composition
LC0588
Round cast-glass discs with a coarse bubbled texture hang on slim rods, interleaved with tapered luminous cones. The light leaves the cone, strikes the disc from below and spreads across the uneven surface. The discs face different ways and overlap, so the composition reads differently from every viewpoint. The upper rods are left bare and carry the rhythm of the suspension. Made to order for the project.

Large round glass elements recall the surfaces of planets and satellites — with craters, relief and a complex texture. Vertical light elements recall space rockets or satellites passing between orbits. They add movement, a vertical rhythm and a sense of real cosmic architecture to the composition. The composition unfolds especially atmospherically in dark interiors and children’s rooms: - by day it is a sculptural installation of glass and metal; - in the evening the space turns into a fantastical galaxy with its own stars, orbits and glowing planets.
