A composition about a firework held in the act of opening. Bundles of tubes sit as stars on a branch — these are both fir boughs in hoarfrost and a firework caught at its best phase. Two readings, both wintry and both festive.

The composition is built without one surplus colour: white and gold, nothing more.

By day it is matte white stars on a gold branch — a piece read through the silhouette of the bundles and the rhythm of their placing. In the evening light in the cores ignites the tubes, each glowing with an even milky light, and the stars open fully. A winter celebration in warm gold.
