Lighting composition
LC0382
A composition about geometry arguing with ornament. The same baroque pendant is set in dialogue with flat rectangles of polished gold: strict facets against shaped transparent contours. The character of the piece is born of that argument — classical and sharply contemporary at once.
Clear and mirrored alternate through the cascade, overlapping one another; the form narrows downward into a wedge.
By day it is a play of two surfaces: the gold reflects the room, the clear pendants let it pass through, and the composition reads as an overlay. In the evening light from the gold candles reflects in the plates and passes through the faceting — the piece plays on shine and transparency at once, choosing neither.
Where it works
Entrance halls, staircases, reception rooms, banqueting halls. The formal wedge form requires height and a frontal view.
Style
Postmodernism in the best sense: a classical quotation next to pure geometry. The message is bold — a piece for an interior that knows how to join eras.
The ratio of clear to gold and the size of the cascade are made to order.
