The ripple from a drop that fell a few seconds ago. Rings run out from the centre of each disc and overlay the rings of their neighbours — a drawing that water holds for an instant.

The discs are layered at several levels, so the gaze passes through three or four layers at once and the ripple multiplies against itself. The composition reads through optics alone: there is almost no form, there is refraction.

By day the object is barely noticeable against the ceiling — a transparent cloud that is easier to miss than to see. In the evening it appears in full: the surface of water lit from below, suspended overhead.

Large horizontal spaces: lobbies, dining rooms, panoramic living rooms, meeting rooms, spas.

Style

Minimalism and Japanese aesthetics: emptiness as a material, pale tones, natural textures. The message is contemplation — the composition does not demand attention, it rewards it.
