A flock flying out of light into shadow. Half the feathers glow right through, half work as silhouette — and the transition between them sets the direction of travel.

Because of that the composition appears layered, although every element hangs in one plane. The depth here is optical rather than spatial — a deception that holds from any position.

By day it is a flock caught mid-turn: dark and pale figures intermixed. In the evening the clear feathers light up and the dark ones vanish altogether — the flock thins before your eyes, as though half of it had already gone.

A horizontal format for long spaces: dining rooms, lobbies, meeting rooms, galleries, restaurant halls.

Style

Contemporary classic and graphic Art Nouveau: contrasting combinations, dark wood, brass. The message is movement and departure — the composition is about a flock always being half elsewhere already.
