A form that is barely there. The elements are so clear that what you see is not them but the pattern of scoring, hanging in the air.

The scoring works as a diffraction grating: light breaks on the ridges into rainbow highlights, and the feather begins to shift colour without a single drop of pigment in it. The rainbow here is not applied — it is computed.

By day the composition reads as a collection of transparent feathers laid out through the air. In the evening point sources ignite the scoring and the group shimmers the way a slick of oil shimmers on water.
