Lighting composition
LC0510
Here the same bird is turned to the horizontal: the wings open almost to full span and hold the composition across a broad front. A brass body is clamped between two glass planes cast with the relief of flight feathers. The source sits inside the body, and light travels along the feather, lighting the edge from within. Some birds hang lower so the flock reads in depth. Made to project.
