A composition about a double temperament. The wings are clear, the bodies gold: the cold anatomy of flight and a warm heart inside every bird. The source is hidden in the body and the light comes out through the mass of the wing.

Every wing is worked down to the individual feather — a detailed form rather than a silhouette.

By day it is a clear flock with gold bodies spread across a wide front: the composition reads through anatomy and the highlights on the feathers. In the evening the light comes out through the mass and the feathers catch an icy fire — the bodies stay warm points, the wings turn cold.

Where it works

A long table, a bar counter, a reception desk, a meeting room. The horizontal front covers a space the way a flock covers a field: the composition is oriented along the length of the zone.
