The same flock twisted into a vertical column. The birds rise in a spiral, like a current caught by a draught — and the composition fills a vertical with movement from the bottom up.

Every bird is unique in its turn and its tilt: the vortex does not repeat itself from any angle.

By day it is a clear spiral with gold bodies — a piece read through its twist and its silhouettes, alive as you walk around it. In the evening light shimmers in the feathers as the sun shimmers in the flight feathers of a real flock: some individuals flare, others stay shadow, and the current seems to be moving.

Where it works

Staircases and double-height spaces. The vortex is designed for a specific height and reads differently from every level.

Style
