A composition about a paper cone. An elongated cone with an open mouth below and a sharp apex above, thin walls, a wavy fire-polished rim — a rolled cone or a bindweed flower. The simplest of forms, and that is its strength: it is recognised instantly and needs no explanation.

The cones hang at several levels, slightly turned and overlapping, with a wavy lower edge. The upper zone stays empty — only the hatching of cables.

By day the composition is all but invisible: clear and colourless, it reads through highlights along the wavy rims alone. In the evening the light travels from the apex down to the mouth, reflecting off the walls, and a glowing column appears within the body; it escapes through the open base. Dozens of luminous funnels hang in the air with not a single lamp in sight.

Where it works

Living rooms, dining rooms, lobbies, meeting rooms, zones above a long table. The light is directed downward through the mouth — the piece lights the table, not the room.

Style

Scandinavian minimalism and organic modernism: the simplest form without decoration. The message is light — a piece for an interior that refuses weight.
