A composition about emptiness in a setting. Square and diamond frames are closed along their outlines while their centres stay empty — the piece consists of borders and of what is not inside them. Because the middles are hollow, the mass reads right through: behind the front layer you see the second and the third.

The frames are turned at varied angles, threaded through one another in places, overlapping in others; short gold rods with luminous ends are set between them.

By day it is a drawing carried into space: clear faceted outlines mixed with amber ones, read as lines. In the evening the light enters the frame at its fixing points and travels the outline like a lightguide, tracing every figure with a glowing line, while sharp sparks flare on the facets. The frames themselves disappear — what remains is an interlacing of luminous squares.

Where it works

An elongated horizontal format — long dining tables, meeting rooms, lobbies, reception areas. Transparency in depth works from the side: the piece is hung at eye level rather than at the ceiling.

Style

Bauhaus and contemporary minimalism: geometry without mass. The message is intellectual — a piece for an interior that rests on structure.
