A composition about a body that is barely there. The moon jellyfish shows only its ribs: everything else is transparent enough to read as emptiness. The author takes that literally — a flat, rounded dome with fine radial ribbing along the edge and a short tail.

Hundreds of domes hang mixed with tiny bubble-beads at varied heights and tilts; some trail down on long threads with sparse beads, like tentacles. What you read is not an object but a medium.

By day the composition is all but invisible: a cool bluish cast, a cloud of small clear things that is easy to overlook. In the evening the light enters the ribbing and traces every dome with a glowing net of ribs, while the bubbles flash as small points. The room becomes a body of water full of jellyfish.

Generous rooms — lobbies, pools and spas, panoramic living rooms, meeting rooms. Transparency needs a dark backdrop: against a white ceiling the piece disappears by day.
