A composition about a rain of its own. Every parasol is tilted its own way, as though catching something of its own — and the swarm stops being a formation: every cap has a task of its own.

The form is simple: a fine stem, a wide pleated skirt, a mirrored surface.

By day the monochrome and the mirroring make the composition graphic — it reflects an interior and dissolves into it, leaving only contours. In the evening light burns under the skirts, the pleating takes it apart into silver rays, and all that remains of the swarm is a set of glowing coronets.

Where it works

Contemporary spaces — concrete, panoramic glazing, minimalist living rooms and lobbies. A mirror works where there is something to reflect.

Style

Contemporary minimalism and high-tech: the mushroom as pure geometry. The message is technical — a piece for an interior of straight lines.
