A composition about two layers. Outside, a full flower head of dozens of curved petals — from honey to cognac; inside, a white branching frame, a bone coral that glows through the amber. The piece shows the flower and its skeleton at once.

The spherical form has no front: the composition is equally beautiful from any side.

By day it is an amber sphere with a white frame showing through between the petals — a piece read through colour and structure. In the evening points in the core light up, the frame comes through as a silhouette against the amber, and the light turns honeyed — the interior around it becomes evening-like and comfortable.

Where it works

The centre of a space — above a round table, in a rotunda, in a bay window, in an entrance hall. Having no front means it is viewed in the round.

Art Nouveau and natural modern: the dahlia as a motif of abundance. The message is warm — a piece for an interior in a honey register.
