A composition about a stamen made of pure light. A gold needle with a glowing filament passes through every bud — the light burns along the whole axis, exactly where a real flower has its stamen. Structure and botany have coincided.

The cluster is dense, matte white intermixed with clear amber; needle pins above the buds stitch the composition with a gold rhythm.

By day it is a cluster of buds running from cream to honey — a piece read through the form of the drop and the transition of tones. In the evening the white ones give a matte, calm glow and the amber ones a deep, warm one, and the cluster shifts along its whole height while the gold axes show through it as vertical threads.

Where it works

Living rooms, dining rooms, stairwells, reception rooms. The dense cluster is built downward: clearance is needed beneath the composition.

Style

Art Nouveau and jewelled Art Nouveau: a flower with a metal core. The message is warm and expensive — a piece for an interior in a gold register.
