A composition about an oyster with fire instead of a pearl. White valves open in pairs, and between them hang amber "mussels" — what the shell is opened for has been replaced with light.

The clusters gather into a free cloud: the whiteness gives a matte rhythm, the amber warm flares in the depth.

By day it is white valves with a wavy relief and amber bodies between them — a piece read through the plasticity of the shell, a marine theme kept from the literal. In the evening the amber "mussels" light from within while the valves stay matte: the light comes not from everywhere but from the depth of every pair. A precious find from the shore.
