A composition about laundry in the wind. Every leaf is bent twice — not once, as in a static form, but with a second fold of the kind only cloth gets when a current takes it. Hence the soft movement through the whole mass.

The matte texture kills highlights and makes the light velvet: white and smoky grey waves with occasional burgundy hang as a vertical forest.

By day it is a quiet mass of pale waves — a piece read through plasticity and soft chiaroscuro, without one hard highlight. In the evening gold rods glow between the leaves like candles in a garden while the leaves themselves stay matte — the sources are visible and the mass around them stays calm.
