The same loop stood upright and rendered in gold. The cascade is gathered into a heart, the loops linking into a living mail coat — the same logic of the invisible chain, but now it streams rather than hangs.

The change of orientation and finish changes the character of the piece: the horizontal bronze version reads as engineering, the vertical gold one as ceremony.

By day it is a gold cascade with clear contours — a piece read through its linkages and the highlights on the collars. In the evening the glowing segments ignite the contours and the cascade streams as a waterfall of clear links: the form disappears and only downward movement remains.

Where it works

Staircases and double-height spaces: the composition reads from any floor. The heart form requires a frontal view along the axis of the opening.

Style

Art Deco and jewelled Art Nouveau: the link as a unit of luxury. The message is formal — a piece for a representative vertical.
