The same ribbon in mirror — and the opposite character because of it. Where the matte version is soft and diffused, this one is sharp, flaring, cold.

The ribbing works as an optical grating: reflections break into hundreds of vertical strokes and the surface never shows a whole picture. The room is reflected in it taken apart into stripes.

By day it is a sculpture of mercury — heavy, fluid, gathering the interior into itself. In the evening the backlight surfaces through the slots and glowing stripes run along its whole length, as though the metal had cracked from inside.

The composition holds an international award.

Interiors with strong architecture: concrete, glazing, stone, double height. Lobbies, atriums, galleries, offices, showrooms.

Style

High-tech and industrial luxury: large planes, exposed structure, monochrome. The message is precision of substance — a piece about metal being capable of flow.
