A sheet of paper caught in flight. The pleating reads as folds in cloth, and the form as something a draught picked up and would not let fall.

The light escapes only through the slots between the ribs, so the ribbon glows in fine longitudinal lines while staying dense and sculptural. This is not a glowing object but an object with light inside it — the difference is fundamental.

By day it is a giant sheet of pleated paper frozen halfway through its fall. In the evening it becomes a glowing wave with close hatching, as though a comb had been drawn along it.

The model holds an international award.
