A gesture rather than an object. A broad band is thrown into the air, twisted and left in the position it was caught in — the whole composition is one movement carried through to the end.

The model holds an international award. The intent is concision: one form, one substance, one gesture — and nothing beyond that.

By day the ribbing works as an optical grating: from one angle the ribbon is almost transparent, from another it flares gold, and as the viewer moves waves run along it. In the evening the light travels the length of the band, emphasising the twist — the gesture becomes a glowing stroke of the pen.

A horizontal format for large spaces: above a long table, in a lobby, in a meeting room, in a gallery, in a restaurant hall.

Style

Contemporary minimalism and gallery aesthetics: empty walls, large planes, no small-scale decor. The message is confidence — a piece that has nothing to prove in order to be the main thing in the room.
