A ridge of ice floes forced to the surface. The shards stand vertically in a dense array, slightly turned toward one another — the way ice rises into pressure ridges when a field is squeezed.

The surface is uneven, as if split; some elements are colourless, others richly turquoise, and there are transitions where colour is drawn into the clear body as an uneven patch. Brightness wanders from element to element because of the differing thickness.

By day it is a section through a glacier — cold, faceted, with internal shadows. In the evening the light runs from above along the whole plane, the clear elements flare white at their bases, the turquoise fill entirely: an aurora brought down to the table.

An elongated horizontal format — for long dining tables, bar counters, meeting rooms, reception areas, restaurant floors.

Style
