A composition about an enfilade. The frames are nested one inside another like a matryoshka, and the light passes through several outlines in a row — a perspective opens that a flat composition could never hold. The eye travels inward, as through a run of open doors.

The array is stepped, level at the top and deeply sagging below; the silhouette recalls terraces. The frames stand vertically, layered and overlapping.

By day it is a set of empty frames — mirrored gold mixed with clear ones read only at their edges. In the evening the gold reflects the light and fills from within, the clear frames transmit it and flare along their rims, and the nesting multiplies the glow. A system of luminous openings receding into depth — an enfilade with lit windows.

Where it works

An elongated horizontal format — long dining tables, lobbies, meeting rooms, reception rooms. The perspective reads from the side: the piece is designed for a view along its length.
