A composition about a slow pulse. Some domes are open, others contracted — the colony is shown in different phases of one movement, the very movement by which jellyfish swim.

Colour is the protagonist: a dense ultraviolet and inky blue, a matte velvet surface, full frills below with the light hidden in their folds.

By day it is a sculptural colony of matte domes: the deep blue-violet reads as volume, a dense and quiet piece. In the evening warm gold lights in the folds of the frills, and the colony turns into a deep-sea garden glowing from under its skirts — darkness above, light below.

Where it works

Interiors that are not afraid of the dark — a lounge, a bar, a bedroom with character, a private study. Against a pale ground the deep colour loses its drama.

Style

Dark luxe and marine modern: ultraviolet as a palette. The message is intimate and evening-bound — a piece for an interior with a mood.
