A composition about weight pretending to be vapour. Every dome is crumpled its own way, like a cloud sculpted by wind — and it looks weightless although it is a dense glossy volume. The play of weight against weightlessness is the piece's principal trick.

By day it is glossy clouds beneath the ceiling: the crumpled surfaces catch light and give uneven highlights, and the composition reads through plasticity. In the evening a soft light comes on inside the domes and leaves the folds as a warm radiance — the dense mass turns into vapour for good.

Where it works

Living rooms, bedrooms, children's rooms, spa areas, lobbies. A multi-level flock requires height — pressed to the ceiling, it loses its volume.

Style
