A composition about rings on water. The concentric waves on every disc are arrested in the mass — a drawing that lives for a second on water and is held here for good.

The composition is minimal to the limit: only discs, only cables, only light. All the dynamics come from the tilts and the differences in height — the cloud seems suspended in the middle of a slow movement.

By day it is smoky amber circles at differing heights — a piece read through form and inner drawing, without one surplus element. In the evening light burns at the centre of every disc and the waves run out from it as glowing rings: the warm amber and the soft glow make the composition comfortable despite the strictness of the form.

Where it works

Above a table, in a meeting room, in a lounge. The flat discs steal no height — the composition suits medium ceilings too.

Style

Scandinavian minimalism and mid-century: the circle as the only form. The message is calm — a piece for an interior that does not want volume.
