A composition about April. The flowers vary in size — fully open, half-opened, tight buds — as on a real magnolia branch, which flowers before the leaves and does it unevenly.

The composition is dense and generous without being heavy: white dominates, gold only holds the structure. The proportion is chosen so that the metal does not argue with the flowering.

By day it is a branch in bloom — broad white petals with a pinkish reverse, a light and formal piece. In the evening light at the heart of every flower makes the petals translucent, like a fine shell against the light: the pink reverse comes through from inside and the white stops being flat.

Where it works

Dining rooms, living rooms, lobbies, banqueting halls. The horizontal vine lies along a table or across a volume — the composition adapts to the plan.

Style

Art Nouveau and romantic classicism: the magnolia as a brand classic in its most formal execution. The message is festive — a piece for a ceremonial interior.
