Lighting composition
LC0192
A composition about dusk. The magnolia flowers before its leaves — a bare branch on which large cups open straight away. The author takes that moment and carries it into evening: the palette is deliberately subdued, grey instead of white, and the crown reads as heavy, like a garden at the hour when colour has already left the petals but the form still holds.
Branches with a rough cast texture are woven into a sphere. Closed buds alternate with half-open and fully open ones — flowering is shown not as a state but as a process.
By day it is a bronze sculptural branch: heavy, dark, almost archaeological. In the evening a few flowers light up within the crown — the light emerges from the cups in warm patches, lights the neighbouring petals from within and flares on the gold of the branches. Most of the crown stays in darkness, and it is precisely that restraint that holds the drama.
Where it works
A voluminous crown asks for height — living rooms with high ceilings, stairwells, private studies, lobbies in a dark palette. It suits a position above a round table or in an opening where people walk around it.
Style
Dark luxury and Art Nouveau in an evening reading: a natural form presented as something precious. The message is intimate and adult — a piece for an interior with character.
The crown diameter, the number of flowers, the depth of the grey tone and the finish of the branches are all made to order.
