A composition about a support that disappears. The frame here is graphite-black and matte — deliberately made invisible, so that when lit the gold sails seem to hang in emptiness. The author plays with what the piece shows and what it conceals: switched off, it honestly displays its structure; switched on, it denies it.

Every element is bowed like a sail, with sharp ends and a deep hollow, and none repeats its neighbour. This is the pure plasticity of a leaf, fixed at the moment of bending.

By day the object reads as a metal sculpture — gold on graphite, heavy and composed. In the evening the black frame falls entirely into shadow, the light strikes the gold hollows and reflects outward in hot patches. What remains is a column of gold sparks, resting on nothing.

Where it works

A dark palette — living rooms in deep tones, bars, private studies, showrooms, restaurant interiors. The vanishing-support trick works only against a dark ground.

Style
