Floor lamp
LC0181
The same ear of grain, read in winter. The geometry is kept but everything else is inverted: the leaves thin toward their tips to full transparency, the offshoots are longer and finer, the rods chromed instead of gold. The palette moves into cold — silver, white, icy highlights.
One and the same form in a warm and a cold reading gives two different objects. Here the silhouette comes out open-work and the object loses weight: a sheaf from which density has gone.
By day it is an ice sculpture — the rims glow along their contour even without a source, because they catch daylight on their edges. In the evening the light passes through the body and makes every leaf glow entire, from base to tip, not only through the gaps. The column becomes dimensional right through: you see both the front layer and what stands behind it.
Where it works
Living rooms, bedrooms, spas, reception rooms, interiors in a cold palette. Transparency needs a dark or neutral backdrop — against a white wall the piece loses its outline.
Style
Scandinavian minimalism and Nordic modernism: cold as an aesthetic position. The message is clear and ascetic — a piece for an interior without excess.
The column height, the number of elements, the degree of transparency and the finish of the rods are all made to order.
