A composition about the gills beneath a cap. The pattern radiating from the centre is taken from a mushroom — from the part of it people never look at: gills exist precisely not to be examined. The author turns the thing over and makes the underside the face.

The discs hang almost flat, in layers, densely — the caps overlap with almost no gaps, and from below the field reads as continuous. The composition is drawn out as a rectangle: not a cloud but a canopy.

By day it is a colony seen from beneath — a smoky grey-beige tone, the ribbing read through light and shade. In the evening a gold heart lights up at the centre of each disc, the light spreads along the rays, and every cap glows radially, from a bright centre to a subdued rim. Hundreds of radial glows give an even warm field of luminous rosettes.

Generous rooms — lobbies, dining rooms, meeting rooms, panoramic living rooms, reception areas. A continuous field gives even light: the piece works as principal illumination, not as an accent.
