A composition about a line drawn in the air. Curved clear tubes join into continuous trajectories — loops, orbits, strokes; every composition becomes a gesture of its own: one lies as a calm wave, another twists into an interlacing of orbits, a third hangs above a table as a calligraphic signature.
This is a long exposure of light, arrested in the frame.
By day it is a transparent sculpture with warm golden joints — a piece read through trajectory and with almost no mass. In the evening the light flows inside the tubes like a current of energy, and pure graphic work remains: the lines are reflected in windows and polished stone, doubling through the space.
Where it works
From a compact stroke above a table to an installation across a whole hall — living rooms, lobbies, restaurants, showrooms. The drawing is composed for a specific space.
Style
Contemporary sculptural installation and calligraphic aesthetics: the line as the only material. The message is artistic — a piece that is a gesture.
The trajectory, the scale and the number of tubes are all made to order.

@vargov_design →Light composition LC0591 Light compositions of curved glass tubes — as if lines of light had been drawn straight into the air. Each composition is assembled from glass tubes D70 mm, L1100 mm. Light passes within the form like a stream of energy. What is interesting about these objects is that they look at once technological and very much alive. In places they recall orbits of light, in others calligraphy, a long exposure of light in a frame or the neon trails of movement. Clear glass with coloured shades creates a sense of depth: by day the compositions look like suspended glass sculptures, in the evening they turn into graphics of light. It is interesting to watch how the character of the object changes: — some compositions look calm and flowing, — others recall a chaotic interweaving of orbits, — others still — almost architectural waves or ribbons of light in weightlessness.
