A composition about a bow. Broad mirrored bands are tied into loose loops and knots that hover in the air — a gesture from the world of wrapping and gifts, enlarged to the size of a chandelier and stripped of its occasion.

The surface is broken into thousands of triangular facets, so the composition does not reflect, it multiplies: points of light hide in the bends and are multiplied without end.

By day the piece gathers all the light of a space and returns it as a salute of highlights — it works with not one lamp switched on, living only on what is around it. In the evening the sources in the bends add a glow of their own, and the facets begin to fire sharp sparks in every direction.

Where it works

Above a table, in a window display, in an entrance hall, in a boutique. The composition depends on its surroundings: it is placed where there is something to reflect and where directed light will strengthen the facets.
