Light as art

Vargov®Design

Floor lamp

LC0420

A composition about a colony. White tees link into a porous vertical structure with voids, bends and inner passages — coral grows exactly like this: not to a plan but by addition. No section repeats another.

The light does not pour out directly — it pushes through in fragments from the depth, through openings and pores.

By day it is a snow-white sculpture read through relief and the shadows inside its voids — a quiet and complex piece. In the evening it begins to breathe: the light comes out unevenly, in patches, and the colony looks like a living organism glowing from within. The floor lamp works solo or as a family of differing heights — and then a whole reef grows up against the wall.

Where it works

Entrance halls, living rooms, spa areas, showrooms, winter gardens. Fragmented light gives atmosphere rather than illumination: a second source is needed nearby.

Style

Bio-design and organic Art Nouveau: growth as a form-making principle. The message is natural and contemporary — a piece for an interior with character.

The height, the density of the colony and the number of glowing pores are all made to order.
