A composition about an explosion stopped at its best moment. From a vertical axis, stem-rays break out in every direction, and at the end of each a bud opens with a sparkling core: a dense core above, elements flying apart at the edges. The firework is caught exactly in the phase of opening, before it began to fade.

The light is born inside every bud — hundreds of shimmering points in a clear centre.

By day it is a white vertical with a gold axis: a piece read through its rays and silhouette, graphic and clean. In the evening the buds light from within with a scattering of sparks, the axis goes into the dark, and what remains is a firework suspended in the air.

Where it works

A vertical format — staircases, entrance halls, double-height living rooms, atriums. The spread of the rays extends beyond the footprint of the axis: clearance is needed to the sides.

Style

Art Deco and formal classicism: the firework as the form of celebration. The message is ceremonial and bright — a piece for a space that greets.
