A branch that was not cut but grown again. The leaves are twisted and turned out of step with each other — there is no garland rhythm here, there is the disorder of a real canopy.

Half the foliage transmits light and half reflects it. Because of that the canopy shimmers the way a tree shimmers in the sun: some leaves burn against the light, others stay dark, and the drawing changes with every step.

The composition is deliberately horizontal: it does not descend on the viewer, it reaches out above them — like a branch over a garden path that you want to stand under.
