The light enters at the stalk and spreads through the body of the leaf, igniting it entire; highlights flare at the bends and a green shadow holds in the depth. The composition reads as underwater — weed in the body of the water, swaying with the current.

By day the branch is almost transparent and visible only as a contour; in the evening it fills with turquoise and becomes the principal patch of colour in the room. The composition holds an international award.
