A composition about a cob. The leaves sit in layers, overlapping, by the dozen — a dense vertical where every row covers the one before. The form reads as a cob, as a cone and as a cypress: everything that grows upward inside a tight wrapping.

The leaves work against the light: being thin, they do not block it, they diffuse it.

By day it is a sculptural column with rich plasticity — white on gold, a dense and calm piece. In the evening the glow pushes out of the depth of the column, tracing every leaf along its edge: the whole vertical shines with an even milky radiance without one dazzling spot, while the gold between the leaves gives warm vertical sparks. A glowing trunk around which a space gathers itself.

Where it works

In a pair flanking an entrance or a sofa, in a row along a long wall. Soft light without glare suits rest areas and reception rooms where people stay for a while.

Style

Organic Art Nouveau and contemporary classic: a natural form carried through to an architectural one. The message is calm and representative — a piece that is a column rather than an accent.
