Lighting composition
LC0363
A composition about a bush in bloom. Fine rods spread in every direction, interlacing into a volumetric sphere, and on each tip sits a pointed flower with a gold core. The branching is honest — into three or four shoots, as on a real bush, rather than into equal rays.
Close up it is a botanical study: you can see how the bud attaches to the branch, how the gold of the core is reflected in the whiteness. From a distance it is a glowing sphere woven out of sparks, like sea buckthorn in the sun.
By day the composition is graphic: white on silver, a clean line, no colour at all. In the evening hundreds of point sources turn it into a cloud of fireflies suspended above the table — the form disappears and the swarm remains.
Where it works
A spherical form has no front — the object is equally good in the centre of a room, above a round table, in an opening between floors. Point sources give sparkling rather than diffused light.
Style
Art Nouveau and natural modern: the branch as a classic motif. The message is alive and festive — a piece for an interior that loves detail.
The diameter of the sphere, the number of branches and buds and the finish of the rods are all made to order.
