A composition about frozen water. The surface of the discs looks fractured — not decorative hatching but a deep cleavage yielding dozens of facets. The author takes a state rather than a form: a leaf covered in hoarfrost, and ice cracked and seen against the light.

The branch reaches out horizontally, the discs tilted at different angles — like lily pads on the surface of a pond. No fracture repeats another.

By day it is a collection of ice sections on a curved golden branch — a piece read through texture, every facet catching light its own way. In the evening light enters the disc from the central core and runs out across the texture: each facet lights up as a separate spark and the leaf glows like frozen water against the light. From a distance, a chain of radiant circles.

Where it works

Long tables, bar counters, reception desks — wherever rhythmic light is needed along an axis. The tilts of the discs set a direction: the composition is oriented to the movement of the gaze.

Style

Art Nouveau and natural modern: the water lily as a classic motif, ice as a device. The message is cool and clean — a piece for an interior in a cold palette.
