A tropical plant cast whole. The leaves are twisted helically, with a sharp tip and a deep lens in the body — a form taken from nature and carried through to an optical instrument.

Within the thickness of each leaf the reflections of its neighbours gather, and the canopy comes out layered: through the near leaf you see the far one, refracted and enlarged. The green is saturated, botanical, with a cold undertone.

By day it is the opposite: the graphic of the stems and leaves that are almost transparent. In the evening the foliage fills with light while the stems go into shadow — what remains is greenery hanging in the air with nothing to hold it.

A vertical format made for stairwells, bay windows, narrow double-height spaces, winter gardens.

Style
