Two elements in one vertical. Damp greenery behind a matte pane above, an open flame below — water and fire set one above the other with no intermediary.

The flame reflects in the pane of the case and lights the leaves from beneath, so the greenery looks warmed through. Conservatory and hearth do not merely coexist, they work for each other: without the fire the greenery would be nothing but a display case.

By day the object reads as a decorative case of plants — calm, green, humid. In the evening the fire becomes the protagonist and the conservatory turns into its backdrop: the tropics, lit from below.
