Floor lamp

A structure held together by a difference in weight. Below, a heavy dark block with a white vein; above, a weightless fringe — and between them a stem that all but disappears in the dark.
The branches are uneven, with runs and swellings: an icicle grown in layers, or a fragment of coral. The fringe is set at varying lengths — shorter at the outside, deeper toward the centre — so the lower edge comes out alive.
By day it is a sculpture on a stone plinth — a clear crown, a dark base, the pure graphics of the stem. In the evening the branches glow along their whole length and most brightly at their tips: the fringe looks as though it is thawing, about to start dripping.

Living rooms, halls, private studies, hotel rest zones, lounges, reception rooms.
Style
Nordic modernism and brutalist luxury: stone, dark timber, a cold palette, large volumes. The message is the thaw — a composition about the moment winter begins to give way.
The height, the crown diameter, the branch lengths and the stone of the base are all made to order.

The brass geometry at the top sets rhythm and structure, while the crystal breaks it — vividly, irregularly, naturally. A dialogue arises between architectural rigour and a natural element. This floor lamp does not fill the space — it gathers it. It works as an accent, a pause, a visual centre of attraction in an interior where light is not a function but a feeling.
