A composition about chainmail. The same device of four-pointed elements joined at their tips, but executed entirely in polished gold. Dropping the second colour changes the piece fundamentally: instead of graphics in white and gold you get a continuous metal fabric that works only through light and shade.

Every point is slightly concave, and a complex chiaroscuro appears across the surface — some faces burn, others fall into shadow. The screen reads as forged mail or as scales: armour hung on a wall.

By day it is a dense gold mass living on reflected daylight: the pattern changes with the sun. In the evening the light comes from deep in the net, emerges through the openings, strikes the sails and reflects repeatedly, element to element. The plane fills from within and looks red-hot.

Where it works

Formal spaces — a hotel lobby, a reception room, a private study, a backdrop behind a bar counter, a wall inset. Unbroken gold demands restrained surroundings: everything else nearby should stay silent.

Style

Art Deco and Eastern opulence: metal fabric as a symbol of wealth. The message is direct and generous — a piece for an interior unembarrassed by richness.
