Fireplace décor
LC0149
A composition about rock above fire. Below, a living flame; above it a tall cylinder built from hundreds of overlapping flat plates, like masonry or tiling. A gap is left between bowl and cylinder: the fire is visible from every side and works not as decoration for the column but as its source.
No plate repeats its neighbour — runs, cavities, patches of differing density. The column looks laid by hand out of found material rather than assembled from parts: rock, not product.
By day it is a sculptural volume — warm amber, read through texture and reflection, calm and dense. In the evening the fire below lights the masonry from beneath, the light passes through the amber and emerges warm and diffuse. The column begins to glow like heated rock — stone with the heat still in it.
The same object exists in a rose-copper palette, where the tone shifts toward fired clay and terracotta.
Where it works
Living rooms with high ceilings, lobbies, spas, restaurants, winter gardens, terraces. A live flame needs ventilation and a clear perimeter — the object stands at the centre, not against a wall.
Style
Organic minimalism and the archaic: fire as the oldest centre of a dwelling. The message is primal and luxurious at once — a piece for a space people gather around.
The column dimensions, the plate palette, the burner type and the drop height are all made to order.
