The same colony, but with something to hold on to. The anemones are set not on cables but on a tubular branch curved into a broad loop in the horizontal plane: the branch divides into short stalks, and on each sits a figure at its own angle.

The mass reads as grown on its support — the colony has covered the branch the way polyps cover a sunken tree. Density is uneven: in places the elements bunch into clusters, elsewhere the branch stays bare. That matters more than symmetry: growth is never even.

By day it is a coral colony — clear bodies on a gold line, graphic and light. In the evening two levels of glow appear at once: cold points at the tips of the tentacles, and the warm vein of the branch showing through the clear mass beneath them. A branch overgrown with luminous creatures.

Where it works

A horizontal format — long tables, bar counters, meeting rooms, spas, reception areas. The curved loop reads from above and from the side, so the piece is hung lower than usual.

Style

Marine Art Nouveau: a natural form on a natural support, without geometry. The message is organic — a piece for an interior that avoids straight lines.

The length of the branch, the number of elements, the density of the colony and the metal finish are all made to order.
