A composition about a single line. There is no set of elements here — there is one continuous strip, twisted and crushed into a loose knot: it folds over, crosses itself and returns, never repeating a previous bend. The piece reads whole and at once, as a single movement.

The surface is polished, with facets and dents left by working hot metal: light does not slide evenly across it but breaks into dozens of highlights, and every bend acquires its own line of light.

By day it is a metal sculpture — warm gold with greenish shifts in the shadows, plastic and heavy. In the evening light wakes deep inside the knot: it escapes through the gaps between the coils, lighting the inner faces of the strip, and the knot begins to glow without a single visible lamp. A ribbon heated from within.

Where it works

Living rooms, dining rooms, lobbies, reception rooms, zones above a long table. The knot has no principal view: the piece is placed where people walk around it.

Style

Contemporary sculpture and brutalist luxury: one gesture instead of a composition. The message is artistic — a piece that exists as an object of art.
