A composition about the point everything gathers toward. The sphere here is polished rather than matte: it gives no light of its own but collects and redirects the glow running along the inner rim of the ring. Source and accent are separated — one thing shines, another is looked at.

The band is broad and crushed into soft waves, the circle wandering slightly along its contour, the inner opening alive with swellings. The inner surface is polished with particular care: it is the reflector.

By day it is a metal hoop with a sphere — polished gold with cool blue-green reflections along the crests of the folds. In the evening what remains is a ring of light with one bright point in the upper left. The opening stays empty: the wall is visible through it, and that is part of the intent — the piece frames a void.

Where it works

Entrance halls, corridors, private living rooms, stair flights, reception areas, showrooms. An empty opening means the wall beneath the fitting is part of the composition: its texture and colour matter.

Style

Contemporary sculpture and minimalism: a frame around nothing. The message is conceptual — a piece for an interior that values the idea.
