A composition about a surface that answers. Every scale rotates freely on its own axis, and so the wall is alive: it responds to moving air and to anyone passing by. This is not decoration but behaviour — the screen can never be caught looking the same twice.

The palette is deliberately uneven: plates of differing tones are mixed, so there is always a ripple in the surface. It exists in two versions — warm, running from bronze and brass to dark copper, and cool, in silver, pewter and steel.

By day the screen works as a textured surface with a soft metallic sheen: the ripple is visible but calm. In the evening the backlight in the frame edges grazes the scales at a sharp angle, and wherever a plate has turned toward the light a bright point flares. The pattern of highlights never repeats — the wall shifts like water, or like fish scales.

Where it works

Zoning and wall treatment — lobbies, restaurants and bars, reception areas, stage backdrops, showrooms, photo zones. The movement needs a gap: the screen is not fixed flat against a wall.
