Three spheres threaded vertically — and three different views of one object: from the ground floor you see the lowest sphere, from the first the middle one, from above the whole row at once.

The structure is openwork throughout: through the weave you see both the neighbouring sphere and the space beyond it. The volume here is declared but not occupied — a form consisting mostly of air.

The intent is in the vertical. The composition does not hang above the viewer, it accompanies them on the way up, opening in parts — light tied to movement.

Where it works

Ideal for a stairwell: the spheres read from different floors in turn. Also good in a narrow double-height entrance hall and in a shaft between floors.

Style

Contemporary Art Nouveau and soft high-tech: open staircases, glass balustrades, spare finishes. The message is upward movement — three steps of light leading the eye along a vertical.
